Effective

In short: the only personal data this site collects is what you type into the early-access form. We use it to tell you when you can install Whenproof, and for nothing else.

Who is responsible

Tielemans Software is the controller for personal data processed on this site:

Visiting the site

We use no cookies, no local storage, no analytics and no tracking. Pages load only their own files (styles, one script that draws the background, images) from this site; nothing comes from third parties. The site's Content Security Policy (connect-src 'none') makes the browser refuse any background network request from our pages.

If you arrive through a link with a ?ref= tag (for example ?ref=newsletter), the page passes that tag to the early-access form so we can count which links bring sign-ups. It identifies the link, not you, and it is not stored in your browser.

Hosting

The site runs on Cloudflare Pages, and the sign-up list is stored in a Cloudflare D1 database located in the EU. Cloudflare is our data processor. Like any web host, Cloudflare may log technical data such as IP address, time and browser type to operate and secure the service.

The early-access form

What we store: your email address; your company name, how many products you ship and your main ecosystem, if you give them; the ?ref= tag of the link you came from, if any; that you gave consent; and the time of sign-up.

Why: to email you when you can install Whenproof, possibly to ask a short question about your needs, and to count how many sign-ups we get and from which links. We don't sell or share the data, and we don't use it for anything else. The legal basis is your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time.

How long: until you opt out, or at the latest 12 months after early access closes. Then we delete it.

How to opt out: email [email protected] from the address you signed up with, and we delete your details. You don't need to give a reason.

Abuse protection: we do not store your IP address. To limit abuse of the form we store a one-way hash of it, used only to count sign-up attempts in the last hour. The key for the hash is derived each day from a secret and the date, so the same IP address gives a different hash every day. Hashes older than an hour are deleted whenever anyone uses the form; there is no other scheduled deletion, so if the form is not used again, the last hashes stay until it is. The form sets no cookies.

Your rights

The GitHub App

This policy covers this website. When the Whenproof GitHub App opens, it will have its own section here describing what it stores about your repositories, before anyone can install it.
